$1 from every Chile con Queso appetizer sold November 7-11 will be donated to Homes for Our Troops<\/strong><\/p>\n

LUBBOCK, Texas \u2013 In honor of Veteran\u2019s Day, Abuelo\u2019s Mexican restaurants are pleased to support Homes for Our Troops and invites guests to enjoy Chile con Queso for a good cause during its \u201cQueso for Heroes\u201d fundraiser. Starting Saturday, November 7 through Wednesday, November 11, Abuelo\u2019s restaurants nationwide will donate $1 from the proceeds of every Chile con Queso appetizer sold to Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit organization that builds specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud and honored to support Homes for Our Troops\u2019 efforts to help those brave men and women who protect our freedom,\u201d said Robert Lin, president of Food Concepts International, Abuelo\u2019s parent company. \u201cHomes for Our Troops is a great organization and we look forward to giving back to our heroes this Veteran\u2019s Day weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n

About Homes for Our Troops<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. Most of these Veterans have sustained life-altering injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and\/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI).\u00a0 These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its founding in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar donated to HFOT has gone directly to our program services for Veterans.
